BerIC Technologies GmbH is a fabless semiconductor company founded in 2014 by a group of senior engineers with a successful history in translating radio frequency (RF) and analogue integrated circuits (IC) based concepts into commercial products for different applications, such as wireless communications, automated test equipment (ATE), and electronic systems for optical applications.

Our team assembles a set of multidisciplinary technical skills, such as advanced RF, analogue, digital, and embedded software, applicable to state-of-the-art semiconductor technologies, that make us a small but very competent semiconductor company.

The acronym BerIC stands for Berlin’s Integrated Circuit (IC).


BerIC Technologies GmbH was launched to change the way electronic systems interact with humans and objects. Several communication technologies, such as Bluetooth, Wifi, ZigBee, or GSM, show drawbacks in connecting everything due to electromagnetic spectrum crowding and protocol limitations.

We at BerIC are currently working on several new techniques which will overcome some of the existing limitations, and will enable future products to  establish robust wireless communication services, applicable to domains, from schools and home security to industrial automation or in rescue systems.

Our focus is to develop ultra low-power systems which provide extremely high accuracy application specific information over robust communication links. Our products will be embedded in future intelligent handhelds, smartphones, health care and other mobile systems.

Company Structure

The company has a management team that supervises two groups, each focused on a specific target.


The Service Provider Group provides consultancy and IC design services to customers, starting on the product specification analysis to the complete IC design flow, from front to back-end and evaluation.

The Product Development Group researches and develops new products and applications on new ultra low power technologies for wireless applications which will change the future how we as people and objects interact with each other.
